Position: Senior Scientist – Protein Purification

A leading Biotechnology Company are looking to recruit a Senior Protein Purification Scientist to join the protein sciences team and work on Discovery.

The Role

As the Senior Scientist in Protein Purification you’ll contribute to the development of Novel Humabody products and join and active drug discovery programme where you’ll be involved with a broad range of different activities but particularly:

• Purification of Humabody from shake flask cultures and from small scale fermentation, 1-10l scale
• Development of purification processes
• Humabody Characterisation

You

Ideally, you’ll have a BSc, MSc or PhD in a relevant subject and proven experience of downstream process development and developing purification processes for recombinant biotherapeutic proteins using state of the art technology such as GE, AKTA systems and TFF.

Working knowledge of a broad range of purification techniques, including affinity, size exclusion, endotoxin removal, ion exchange, multi-modal chromatography, recombinant protein expression in E.coli, P.pastoris and mammalian cell expression is essential.
