Position: Research Associate – Mammalian Cell Expression

A leading Biopharmaceutical Company are looking to recruit Research Associate in Mammalian Cell Expression to join their Antibody Technology Group.

The Role

As the Research Associate in Mammalian Cell Expression you’ll support the in-house large scale recombinant antibody and protein expression work for the Antibody Drug Discovery Projects.

Responsibilities

• Mammalian cell culture and recombinant protein expression
• Plasmid DNA preparation and transfection of mammalian cells
• Contributing to on-going process development and optimisation strategies within the group
• Providing support to several projects simultaneously, linking effectively with the project leaders and other scientists as required

You

Ideally, you’ll have a BSc or MSc in a relevant discipline and have experience in mammalian cell culture preferably CHO cells in industry or Biotech environment. You’ll of worked on recombinant protein expression in mammalian cell lines preferably antibodies and demonstrate an ability to devise strategies to optimise expression.

Knowledge or experience in Wavebag/Bioreactor multi-litre scale cell culture with knowledge of GE Healthcare Wave 25 system.
