A leading Biopharmaceutical Company are currently expanding their Antibody Discovery Department and looking to recruit a dynamic scientist to lead the formulation and protein analytics team.

The Role

As the Formulation and Protein Analytics Team Leader you’ll manage the recently formed team in the biophysical assessment and analysis of lead molecules, the use of label-free protein interaction technology supporting early discovery and development of lead candidate’s formulation and stability testing.

Responsibilities

• Generation and delivery of high quality and well documented data packages for advancing drug candidates that support CMC manufacture and regulatory submissions
• Stability and biophysical assessment of drug candidates with industry-standard readouts and associated documentation for both discovery and pre-CMC candidates
• Managing of the label-free in-house expert team involving the latest BLI and SPR technology to support discovery and development
• Line Managerial responsibility for the team
• Present key findings and provided solutions to project teams, development teams and discovery
• Support on-going lab based work as required

You

Ideally, you’ll have a PhD with significant employment experience within a similar role. You’ll have in-depth and demonstrated experience in antibody-drug based formulation and analytics with extensive expertise pf protein biophysical characterisation procedures and techniques – DLS, SLS, DSC, DSF and HPLC method development.

A strong knowledge of excipient and buffer systems designed to maximise antibody stability, data packages to support CMC is essential for the role.

Experience with label-free technology such as SPR and BLI(Octet) is very desirable.
